Fernandina Beach

Arrived in port at approx 1630 today after struggling with multiple systems and 6-8 ft waves since the wee small hours. This was on the original float plan, but not a recent one!

Wind died in the middle of the night before picking up out of the north. To make time out of the Gulf Stream before the storm arrived, we kicked the engine into gear for a couple of hours before the drivetrain stopped transmitting power to the prop late at night. Fortunately we could still run it in neutral to periodically charge the batteries to run the autopilot.
