Day 2 on the ICW - Why they so many crab traps? But no crabs to eat!

Today we left Slade Creek just South of Belhaven, NC at 8am and traveled 72 miles to Broad Creek just North of Albemarle Sound. We traveled along narrow tree-lined canals, navigated a swing bridge, and crossed the hugeness of Albemarle Sound, peppered with numerous crab pots to keep us on our toes. We saw Cownose rays, a dead aligator, and dolphins. We made sure to observe our afternoon Captain's hour of Dark and Stormies followed by a closing of whiskey and watching the sunset. Tommorow our goal is to make it to Norfolk and then we begin our trek up the Chesapeake.
